Can I migrate from my on-premise SharePoint sites to SharePoint Online?
SharePoint migration, including SharePoint Designer’s backup and restore functionality, is not supported by Microsoft Online Services Technical Support.
There are third-party tools available to perform SharePoint site migration. You could also use a combination of creating Site, Library, and List templates for your on-premise SharePoint site, and then restore those templates to your SharePoint Online site.
Can SharePoint Online sites be available to external users?
Currently, SharePoint Online requires a user name and password to access the site. Anonymous login is not allowed. This feature is being considered for future releases of SharePoint Online.
Can I use a workflow other than the Three-state workflow?
Currently, Three-state workflow is the only workflow enabled for and supported by SharePoint Online. All other workflows are disabled by SharePoint Online and cannot be enabled. Enabling other workflows is being considered for future releases of SharePoint Online.
Where are the other “Fantastic 40” SharePoint templates?
SharePoint Online only has a few of the “Fantastic 40” templates enabled. Enabling other templates is being considered for future releases of SharePoint Online.
